• AVOID DRIVING CARS. When you drive cars, you use up gasoline (which is made of oil). Drilling oil endangers the Atchafalaya Swamp. Instead of driving, walk or ride a bike if your destination is nearby, or ride buses. With many people all in one bus, there is less gasoline used and less harm is caused. Also, support development of eco-friendly cars.                                       
 

• DON'T BUY CYPRESS MULCH. Who knows? Maybe the innocent-looking bag of cypress mulch you just bought was illegally logged from Atchafalaya Swamp! Even if it's not from Atchafalaya Swamp, that mulch was logged from somewhere, wasn't it? Maybe those trees weren't from the Atchafalaya Swamp, but you can still help save them!
